Randall Tan is a well-known local actor, model and host with recent appearance in the local movie, Kallang Roar. His other works includes Chase, Light Years, Teenage Textbook and more.

2 years back, he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome which left him almost paralyzed. Now he’s recovered, back on his feet and taking part in his first full-distance marathon at the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2008.

Currently, he’s happily married to Melody Chen, also a local actress and host.

WHAT’S YOUR IMPOSSIBLE STORY?

Randall a self-proclaimed running fanatic, was diagnosed with severe Guillain-Barre syndrome in 2006 which left him almost paralyzed - not being able to see, eat or walk properly.

He found it hard to believe when the doctors told him that he is not able to recover in the next few years. He never gave up and continued his battle against his illness. With the strong support of his family and friends, he recovered from his illness in less than a year; a lot faster than the doctors expected.Now, he’s able to continue his love for running. He will be taking part in Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2008. It is his first full-distance marathon after his recovery.
