Terms and Conditions:

1. These terms and conditions are applicable to all participants of “adidas Inspirators online contest” (hereafter referred as “Contest”) which will be held from 1st October 2008 till 7th November 2008(hereafter referred as “Contest Period”).

2. By participating in this Contest and/or by submitting an entry, you are bonded by the following terms and conditions and agreed to the terms. The organizers of this Contest are:

2. Singapore Sports Council

3. Participants must abide to the terms and conditions including but not limited to the collection of prizes and eligibility.

4. Information on prizes and instructions on how to participate shall form part of the conditions to enter.

5. All decisions made by the organizers including winners, collection of prizes etc are final. Any discrepancies will not be entertained.

Eligibility

6. The Contest is open to all race participants of the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2008 and of eligible age (determined by Singapore’s legislation) with the exception of employees of adidas and Singapore Sports Council and its immediate families members and its associated agencies.

7. All chosen adidas inspirators must wear the given apparel set of adizero apparel on race day, Sunday, 7th December 2008. Each running tee will be customized for each winner with personalized taglines printed for each individual winner. A pair of adizero running shoes will also be given to each winner but it is not compulsory to use it on race day.

8. Participants who wish to take part in this online contest must not have any pre-existing bonded relations either contractual or non-contractual, with adidas’ competitors including but not limited to Nike, Puma, New Balance, Asics, Mizuno, etc.

Rules for participation

9. In order to participate in the Contest, you are required to:

   1. Be an official race participant of Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2008.

   2. Provide us your identification or passport number to verify as a race participant.

   3. Submit your inspirational tagline on running the marathon in less than 12 words to inspire the others.

   4. Share your story behind your inspirational tagline in less than 100 words. All stories submitted must be authentic. If found to be otherwise, they will be disqualified.

   5. Fill up all the required fields.

   6. Provide valid particulars such as name, email address, contacts and country of residence.

   7. Participate in prize presentations or media interviews if any.

10. All entries to the Contest must be:

    1. The true story of the participating independent not including any other third parties.

    2. Free of any claims including but not limiting to any copyright or trademark claims, by any third parties.

11. All participants warrant that his/her entry complies with these requirements.

12. Only entry that are not non-offensive, profanity-free and not of a crude or sexual nature or language will be accepted for this Contest. adidas may at its sole discretion reject or disqualify any entries as it deem inappropriate.

13. The winning entries will be printed on the back of the prized running top of each individual winner.

14. All entries to the Contest must be received before 2359hr on 7th November 2008 via the given online portal/link. Entries via any other source will be ineligible for the Contest. Late entries will be considered null and invalid. All times stated are based on Singapore time.

15. Each participant is only allowed to submit ONE entry for the entire Contest. Duplicate entries will be considered null and invalid.

16. Participants are not allowed to copy, use, sell and distribute the visuals of the prizes and taglines to any third-party. All copyrights of the visuals and taglines belong to adidas and the respective individuals.

17. Each participant warrants to the terms of the Contest upon submission.

18. All entries shall become and remain the property of adidias.

Winners, Selection, Notification & Collection

19. adidas shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect of consequential loss) in the delivery of the Prizes to the winners.

20. The winners of “adidas inspirators Online Contest” will be decided purely on the discretion of adidas. All decisions made by adidas are final. Any disputes, discrepancies and queries will not be entertained.

21. The winners are not allowed to accept any interviews from media or any third parties without the consent of adidas.

22. 200 inspirators / winners will be selected from the Contest. Each winner will win a set of adidas Spring/Summer 2009 adizero articles which include a running top, bottom and footwear worth $316 (including GST). Winners will be notified via email.

23. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for other sizes, products or cash. The size chosen by the participant during the process will be deemed final.

24. adidas reserved the right to substitute the prize to another item of the similar value in the event of the prizes are not available for whatever reasons. adidas will not be held responsible for any variation in the prize value.

25. Winners will be required to go down to adidas office (address as above) to collect their prize (full set of running gear) two weeks before the race day with a prize presentation ceremony of all the winners. Any late collection of the prize will be forfeited.

General Conditions

26. By submitting your information in the contest, you hereby agree and consent to:

    1. adidas publishing your names in any media as part of the campaign of announcing the winners and for the purpose of informing winners on the prize delivery and collection status.

    2. adidas retaining and using all the data/information you provided for its sales, marketing and promotional efforts, and to the furnishing of such data/information to its agencies, partners and adidias-related entities for the same purposes. You are required to provide all requested information accurately.

    3. If you do not provide the requested information, your entry will be considered null and invalid. adidas may still use your information to contact you in future sales, marketing and promotional campaigns.

    4. Your personal particulars may be disclosed to relevant authorities and winners’ names published as required in any medium under the relevant legislation. Any request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to adidas at the address and contact details stated above.

27. adidas shall not be liable for all/any monetary costs including but not limited to taxes, internet charges, transportation charges etc incurred in relation to the Contest. All monetary costs are solely borne by the participant alone.

28. adidas shall not be liable for any loss or damage to whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential cause) during the process or any personal injuries which are suffered or sustained from taking any prize or participating in the Contest, except for any liability which cannot be excluded from law.

29. adidas reserve the right to amend, withdraw or revise the terms and conditions and prizes of this Contest at its own discretion as deem fit without any notice. In such event, adidas shall not have any liability whatsoever. Participants who do not comply with these terms and conditions may be disqualified at adidas’ sole discretion.

30. If any reason this Contest is not able to function or run as planned, including but not limited to computer bugs/virus, network error/down, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of adidas which corrupts and affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, adidas will reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any participant or modify, cancel, terminate the Contest

31. adidas is not liable for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone lines/network, broadband services, computer hardware and software, servers, technical problems or traffic congestion of any other websites, including but not limited to any loss or damage to the participants’ or another person equipments related to or resulting from the participation of this Contest.

32. These terms and conditions will be governed and constructed according to the laws of Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this contest, shall be referred to and resolved by arbitration in Singapore accordance with the international arbitration rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC Rules) for the time being in force which rules are deemed to be incorporated by reference in these terms and conditions. The language of the arbitration will be in English. The International Arbitration Act shall apply to the arbitration. The award shall be final and binding on both parties.
